Life and story

We are just stories in space and time and it is our job to ensure that this story is a beautiful one.

One that makes our family and our friends happy and in some cases proud.

Nobody knows how the Egyptian pyramids were built nor do we know who built it. We would never ever know. So if the Pharaohs built it so that they would be remembered forever and their name glorified, then they have failed utterly because no one even knows them at all. So if they were toiling painfully to build these supreme structures and not enjoying the process then their whole life was miserable and it went in vain as they are not remembered.

But what if they really enjoyed building the pyramids? What if it was fun for the people to built something so spectacular and beautiful in ancient Egypt? What if it made the people feel a sense of accomplishment and bought meaning and purpose to them? What if it inspired them and when they felt down, such a supreme structure inspired them in undeniable ways? Then its a win win and a beautiful story and even though the faceless architects and workers and most Pharaohs of Egypt would never be known – they at least dared to dream and build something and lived a life with a story to tell.

The pyramids looked ridiculously beautiful in their original time. They now look pale and have gone through a lot of wear and tear. Even a great story wears down with time. But that would have happen in all cases. What is awesome is that it was a great story in its own time and that in itself is rare, enough and beautiful.
